In a striking moment during a recent Arise TV interview, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi laid bare what many have only speculated: that the chaos within the Labour Party is not just internal—it’s deliberately instigated and sustained by those in power.

“The problem we have in the Labour Party is instigated and sustained by the government,”

Obi said bluntly, reinforcing what supporters have described as a campaign of strategic disruption by political elites threatened by a rising third force.

Since the historic 2023 elections—where Obi and the Labour Party saw an unprecedented youth-led surge—the party has struggled to maintain cohesion. From legal tussles over national leadership to public spats between factions, the image of unity has steadily eroded.

“What is happening in the party is beyond ideology or leadership—it’s targeted distraction,” he implied.

UPDATE ON 2025 ELECTION

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled 16th August, 2025, by 8:30am for a series of by-elections to fill vacant seats in the National and State Assemblies across 12 states. This announcement was made by the INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, during a meeting with political party leaders in Abuja. June 12 Protest : Organizers list Nationwide protest venues

  The Take it back Movement ahead of the June 12 Democracy day has revealed a list of protest venues across the Nation.
